Nine-Tenths of the Mountain

A clam, and a fish. The former is a spirit, the latter a mermaid.

Having been together doesn't mean they love each other.

But after escaping from the ocean depths to a modern city, they have no one to rely on or support them but each other.

Facing the past, the present, and the future, what will they choose?

Perhaps things won't turn out as they wish. As the old saying goes, a mountain built up to nine-tenths can still fail at the last step.
