Xixi was about to escape those early morning classes when she saw a thief destroy the thesis she'd stayed up all night writing. She died of sudden cardiac arrest on the spot.
When she opened her eyes again, she was in Sumeru, bound to a Study Livestream System. Under the pressure of her Grass Archon Mom and her Wanderer Big Brother, she put on her backpack and began the long journey of studying all over again. (So sad.)

(The story after she starts school is about a bookworm muscle girl who works out in the library just like Alhaitham. She becomes the boss on her very first day and gathers a whole crowd of underlings.)
Just as Xixi finally finished the thesis she'd spent five nights working on, a burglar broke into her home.
Xixi didn't want to fight back, so she handed over all her valuables. Then the burglar tripped over a power cord...
"My thesis!"
The ropes snapped apart as Xixi spoke. Gritting her teeth, she glared at the panicked burglar. "You could've taken anything else, but you had to touch that."
"You're not supposed to touch my thesis. Got it?"
But she only got to look cool for a second before everything went black. After staying up too many nights, she died suddenly.
Before she died, Xixi reached out and murmured, "My thesis! My thesis!"
When she opened her eyes again, she saw a cute white-haired little girl standing by her bed, who called herself the Grass Archon, along with a very sour-faced Wanderer...
And so Xixi was reborn as the Grass Archon's daughter and, in a way, the Wanderer's little sister. After arriving in Sumeru, she began the student life she'd dreamed of from a young age! (Not really.)

Grass Archon: That's right.
Xixi: Then, Mom, can you give me some of your wisdom?
Grass Archon: I can only share my knowledge with you...
