Beautiful, aloof, and flirtatious righteous-path darling, the proud top x battle-crazed, maxed-out fighter with a seductive streak, the bottom [Strong Leads]
Blurb One:
Shen Wei is the beloved disciple of the head of Cangshan, a bastion of the righteous path in the martial world. Proud and flirtatious, he is adored by everyone he meets. Unfortunately, he is so devoted to martial arts that he has no idea how to deal with people, like a lovesick fool.
One day, on the way back to the mountain with his master, he happened to rescue a delicate, blind boy. The boy had a fine-boned, graceful build, but was so frail he looked as if a gust of wind might knock him over.
Shen Wei devoted himself to cultivation, keeping to himself and rarely leaving his quarters. After spending over a month in seclusion, he emerged to find the whole sect gossiping that his second senior brother and the little blind boy he'd picked up were having an affair.
Furious, Shen Wei went to beat the brat who'd been spouting such nonsense until he cried for his parents, only to get slapped hard across the face in return.
Shen Wei (looking murderous x1): "Stop pretending to be crazy and playing dumb with me."
Ling Jing (looking completely harmless x1): "I really do love you."
Shen Wei (looking murderous x2): "Why was I the one who ended up on the bottom with you?!"
Ling Jing (looking completely harmless x2): "You can only blame Senior Brother for being so beautiful."
From Cangshan to Banque Pass to the imperial capital of Jinling, Shen Wei and this blind boy traveled side by side, uncovering each other's secret identities along the way.
After all the twists and turns, when everything had finally settled, Shen Wei should have struck him down for daring to climb on top of him and take a dump. But once the door was shut and the lights were out, all he could do was meekly plead, "I want to be on top."
Blurb Two:
One step into the imperial court, one thought across a thousand mountains; one blade of longing, a heart reduced to ashes.
Though our paths differ, we can still join forces; through the dark night, we sail together.
Cold dreams in the deep palace, the moon shining over the mountain pass. Blades in hand, we shall shape the world together.
The mountains and rivers ahead stretch far and wide, the road is long and full of obstacles. I'll walk it with you, every step of the way.
How will two proud men fall in love while fighting tooth and nail? Blackmailing one another and exposing each other's secret identities; tearing each other apart or helping each other heal.
Blind eyes are no match for a blind heart, and a cruel heart is no match for a heartless one.
A drawn-out tug-of-war romance: sooner or later, one of them will crack and drop the act.
Reader's Guide: (Ling Jing really is blind, but he will regain his sight!)
1. Two beautiful, tragic leads; 1v1; happy ending. There will be a large ensemble cast and one or two side couples. There may be some over-the-top melodrama, but it will definitely be sweet, sweet, sweet!
2. The pursuit-after-rejection arc may be late, but it will come. In the early stages, their fights aren't about killing each other, just bickering from opposite sides. No big deal!
3. Half martial world, half imperial court. The romance and character growth go hand in hand. The martial-world portion isn't typical wuxia and may lean more toward the romance.
4. This is a practice piece for plot and pacing. If anything falls apart, feel free to offer criticism and corrections; I'll take suggestions under advisement. I hope writing it makes me happy and reading it makes you happy too.
Theme: See the mountains and the sea, and keep your heart turned toward the light.
