You in the Curtains

She was once a woman in a brothel,

but by a twist of fate, she caught the eye of Jinling's richest man,

and from then on was drawn into a circle of women vying for his favor.

Heartbreaking pain, time and again,

being treated as if she were invisible, time and again,

her heart turning to ash, time and again,

sincere feelings revealed, time and again...

Only that first encounter,

that peony garden,

that performance of The Tale of the Thorn Hairpin,

remains unchanged.
