Lord Fox

A scheming, domineering beauty & a proud nine-tailed fox

1.

When a jade mine collapses, Lian Heng takes shelter on a mountain.

At the summit is a mountain god temple, where a stone statue of a nine-tailed fox is enshrined.

He casually sets a ruby on the stone altar. The statue rumbles...

And transforms into a nine-tailed fox that exists only in legend.

Lian Heng freezes, his worldview crumbling.

2.

After sleeping for many years, the nine-tailed fox wakes to find the world changed beyond recognition. Spiritual energy is thin and weak, and some strange power has sealed away his magic.

The ward around the mountains is damaged. Someone, tainted by foul energy, walks into his shrine and devoutly places a spirit-gathering stone before him, seeking his protection.

Hmm... Good. Someone's come to pay tribute.

His nine big tails wag in satisfaction. Di Zihuan appears on the altar, looks over his follower, and declares proudly, "From now on, you can call me Lord Fox."
