The Immortal Venerable and Demon Venerable's Online Romance Goes Awry

1. Immortal Venerable Jiang Xidu travels the world to hunt down evildoers. Clad in white, he sits upright on a nine-foot-high platform, burning incense and brewing tea, the person all disciples of the immortal sect look up to.

But once everyone leaves, he kicks off his shoes and flops onto a soft couch, a shut-in who just wants to lie flat.

Demon Venerable Shi Yunye is sinister and wanton, living deep in the ancient territory of the Nine Netherworlds. He lives by the blade and is feared and avoided by all.

But in private, he puts away his swords and spears, tends to flowers and plants, and can't be bothered with worldly affairs.

An accident brings the two together as online friends. After chatting for a while, they become an online couple.

In Jiang Xidu's eyes, the other person is knowledgeable and emotionally steady, answering his questions and clearing up his confusion: a model partner.

In Shi Yunye's eyes, the other person is as pure as jade and frost, bright and graceful, easing the gloom in his heart: his dream lover.

Both look forward to meeting in person and set a date.

Passing by, Jiang Xidu sees his archenemy Shi Yunye holding a cluster of outrageously flamboyant demon spirit flowers. He puts on the cold, haughty air of an Immortal Venerable and mocks him.

Then, as they reach the agreed location, the communication jade pendants at their waists ring at the same time.

Shi Yunye: "?"

Jiang Xidu: "..."

2. Their in-person date goes disastrously wrong.

Because of a contract, they can't get more than ten meters apart, and this will last for three months.

At first.

Jiang Xidu mutters under his breath, "You damn demon, can you stay farther away from me?"

Shi Yunye is just as unfriendly. "If you hadn't made this contract, I wouldn't be spending time with you."

But later...

Night falls, and dew settles.

Shi Yunye gazes at the Immortal Venerable's lean waist beneath his thin robe, his breathing hot. "Can I touch you? Just once?"

"A Xi, please. Let me be saved by you, too."

* A love-obsessed, world-weary top x an optimistic, active bottom who just wants to lie flat

* They fought for hundreds of years, never imagining they'd end up fighting in bed (beep, )

Theme: Don't judge someone by what others say. Let a sincere heart be the mirror that reveals the moon.
