The Moon Embraces the Stars

"At graduation, he folded his confession letter into a paper airplane.

He held it up to the light, then let the plane fly toward the sky.

A star fell.

The moon embraced it."

The fan in Fang Fan's name means ordinary.

The Xinghe in Zhou Xinghe's name means a brilliant galaxy.

That year, at graduation, Fang Fan watched the girl surrounded by admirers, shining on the stage of honor. He simply took a drag on his cigarette, folded his confession letter into a paper airplane, and tossed it away.

Years later, when everyone reunited for the school anniversary, they asked Zhou Xinghe, who had once spent some time with Fang Fan, about him.

The beautiful woman thought carefully. She had been about to say they weren't close, but when she saw that bright, beaming photograph, an inexplicable sorrow filled her heart.

"Fang Fan was a good kid."

Among the only belongings he left behind was a paper airplane.

The moon embraced the star.

The star chased after her, running all the way, but still never found her moon.

Unrequited love, bad ending
