1. One day, at Xu Yue's birthday party, a group of people started playing the King Game and had a great time.
Xu Yue shrieked, "Finally! The birthday girl gets to be king for once!"
"Then number one and number six, tell us what the other person means to you."
Everyone immediately started hooting. Qi Pei turned over his card: number six.
Yu Yihan hesitated, then revealed hers: number one.
The two of them had just had a falling-out the day before. Without a second thought, Yu Yihan said, "Just a regular friend."
Qi Pei raised an eyebrow, sounding a little smug. "Second place."
Yu Yihan really thought the person in first place was the schoolgirl he'd met the day before. Her chest tightened with frustration, and she sat alone in a corner, drinking a lot.
By the time they walked back to the dorm side by side, Yu Yihan was so drunk she could hardly tell up from down. She looped her arms around Qi Pei's and swayed. "You're a... jerk, a heartless bastard!"
She felt exhausted and sleepy, so she simply wrapped her arms around Qi Pei's waist and clung to him, refusing to move.
Qi Pei looked down at her and laughed. Deliberately, he asked again:
"Just a regular friend, huh? Then why are you getting handsy with me?"

He put an arm around Yu Yihan's shoulders and smiled nonchalantly. "You're only my girlfriend right now, so of course you're second. Unless you want to go get our marriage license tomorrow?"
