I Teamed Up with My Nemesis in an Infinite Game

After touching a game flyer his roommate had picked up, Jiang Zhongxu was sucked into an infinite game called "The Challenge of the God of Light."

In the game lobby, the challengers received a System notification: This was a two-player team game. Players could find their own teammates, and anyone who lost would be trapped in the game forever.

There was no question that a team game required cooperation and trust. It was best to find someone familiar, or at least someone you knew.

Jiang Zhongxu looked around. He couldn't find anyone he knew, only Xie Jiaxing, his sworn enemy, whose birth charts clashed with his and whose personality he couldn't stand.

Jiang Zhongxu: I'd rather starve to death, die out there, or jump from here than team up with anyone named Xie!

Xie Jiaxing: ...

Xie Jiaxing: Team up?

Jiang Zhongxu: Sure!

System notification:

[The God of Light is the only god in this world, and the true form of every other god.]

[The God of Light is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-good. It will protect those who believe in it.]

[The weak are those abandoned by God.]

[This is a challenge for those abandoned by God.]

A few friendly reminders:

1. The protagonist is not a badass type. He likes joking around and running his mouth. If that's not your thing, read with caution.

2. A sharp-tongued (sometimes), scatterbrained (now and then), former little tyrant bottom x a tsundere (sometimes), seemingly aloof (it's an act), doting (won't admit it) top.

3. The protagonist undergoes gender changes and transforms into an animal. If that's not your thing, read with caution.

4. This is a fictional world, a fictional world, a fictional world. That's important enough to say three times. It has nothing to do with the real world. Everyone in the story speaks Chinese because the author doesn't know any foreign languages.

Theme: Best buddies should always support each other
