Su Wenxun was orphaned as a child and raised by the eldest senior brother of the Hehuan Sect.
He thought that when he grew up, he could become a cultivator like his senior brother. But on the day he came of age, he was told that his unusual constitution made it impossible for him to practice the sect's techniques.
To support himself, he took on odd jobs around the sect, but his solitary nature made him a target for bullying.
To survive, he tried to curry favor with the young sect leader, who often bullied him. The young sect leader smugly wondered, Does he have feelings for me?
Su Wenxun rescued a man in the mountains, only to later discover that he was the Demon Path's Divine Father. The Divine Father had long been hopelessly in love with a powerful figure in his sect, but his years of yearning had come to nothing. Then he met Su Wenxun and realized that he bore a startling resemblance to the person he loved.
Su Wenxun had always relied on the senior brother who raised him. He thought that even if he someday left the mountain, his senior brother would remain his closest family. Then, one day, at the sect leader's birthday banquet, his eldest senior brother knocked on his door while drunk. At last, he could no longer hide the love and tenderness in his eyes...
This concludes the first map: the Hehuan Sect.
Having made the Hehuan Sect's two future pillars jealous rivals, Su Wenxun was branded a homewrecker and driven out of the sect.
He became the disciple of the aloof and proud Valley Master of the Medicine Valley. His master was too lazy to bother with ordinary people, yet showed Su Wenxun special care. Gradually, his master seemed to stop treating him like an outsider. He even let Su Wenxun attend to him during such private matters as bathing...
His master had a junior martial brother younger than Su Wenxun, whom Su Wenxun called martial uncle. From the moment Su Wenxun entered the valley, his martial uncle had never been nice to him. Yet after receiving another gift from Su Wenxun, he secretly treasured it, and Su Wenxun caught him in the act.
This concludes the second map: the Medicine Valley.
On a dark, windy night, Su Wenxun was knocked unconscious and carried away. When he woke up, he found himself in a house of male courtesans.
Su Wenxun had lost his memory and become the servant of a popular male courtesan. His master was mean, spiteful, and petty, but beautiful and cheerful, with countless people eager to spend money on him. One of the courtesan's favorite pastimes was teasing Su Wenxun. When he realized that this pastime was taking up more and more of his life, he decided it was time to get rid of his servant...
Sold by his master to the county magistrate's son, Su Wenxun became the young master's page. The young master had never married, and his family had nearly worn down the threshold with marriage proposals. Asked why, he would only shake his head and say that his heart belonged to Confucius and Mencius. Yet his resolve wavered one day when he saw Su Wenxun in an intimate tussle with the popular male courtesan. Could he truly not have both Confucius and Mencius?
This concludes the third map: Hongya County.
