My Mister Snail

Lu Yaoyao is twenty-eight, strikingly beautiful, successful in her career, and has been single since birth.

Her best friend is baffled. “Everyone calls you the social butterfly of Beijing’s elite circles, a domineering female CEO, and you’ve never dated? That makes no sense. Tell me what kind of boyfriend you want, and I’ll introduce you to someone.”

She says, “Over six feet tall, fair-skinned, breathtakingly gorgeous, broad-shouldered, with a strong waist and a firm, lean physique. And gentle, likes cooking, and enjoys keeping house.”

Her best friend says, “My advice? Go make a wish in a rice paddy and see if you can trick a snailshell spirit into coming home with you.”

Lu Yaoyao: “...”

Then she meets Lin Shen. The man is aloof and refined, with sharply sculpted features, dressed in a black suit and an impeccably pressed shirt buttoned to the very top. A little lightbulb goes off in Lu Yaoyao’s head. Who says there isn’t one? There’s one right here.

She goes to great lengths to lure him home, only to discover that this man doesn’t just love cooking. He also loves “cooking.”

Help! She really meant it literally.
