Withered Branches Break the Snow

[Synopsis]

The dream-chasing journey of a former esports legend after falling from grace

| Mutual salvation | Devoted puppy | 1v1 | Growth |

Jiang Mitao was once esports' much-admired dark horse, the support god Peach who made countless miracles happen. But on the eve of the world finals, an accident shattered the hopes of tens of thousands of fans across the country. She had "run away at the last minute," and from then on, Peach became synonymous with "coward." She thought she would never make it back to the arena, until she met that impossibly willful "young master."

Huo Ge had been Jiang Mitao's die-hard fan from the very beginning, back when she was still an untouchable legend in esports.

Jiang Mitao met Huo Ge years after she had fallen from the top, when she had become just another face in the crowd. She couldn't stand the "young master" who knew nothing about esports yet kept following her around, urging her to return to the arena. The trouble he brought with him soon wore down her patience, and she ordered him to stay away.

Huo Ge was arrogant and untouchable, yet he was willing to kneel before Jiang Mitao alone. Even so, everyone else thought Jiang Mitao merely admired Huo Ge as a legend. There was no romance between them.

Until one day, they saw Huo Ge lying across Jiang Mitao's lap, looking pitiful as he begged for a kiss.

Until, in the cold, empty corridor of the hospital, she seemed to glimpse a ray of sunlight that had slipped through.

Until one day, the hand that painted in oils bled for her.

Until he kicked open the rusted iron door, his whole body radiating hostility, crossed through layers of dust and the stench of mold, and met her gaze from afar, falling into her heart.

Sunlight reflected off the snowy mountain in a hard, cold glare, yet softened just for her. The last of winter's snow melted, buds broke through withered branches, and spring came to the desolate fields.

#He leaves behind the mundane for her; he gets covered in dust for her; he would face life and death for her without regret#
