[Mostly Detective Conan] Miao Sang Wants to Go Home Again Today

Jiang Miao is an ordinary college student from China, a model citizen through and through. She loves watching anime and is 21 this year.

One perfectly ordinary afternoon, she transmigrated. After chasing a thief into an alley, she looked up and suddenly saw the iconic five high-rises. She didn't know Japanese, and at that moment, she thought of Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya, and stopped caring about their underwear flying around. Ango wouldn't keep doing sit-ups, either. Her mind was filled with just one thought:

Help, I want to go home!

*

When Hagiwara Kenji first met Jiang Miao, the little girl's whole face was filthy because she'd just been rummaging through a trash can. She didn't know Japanese, so she quietly stayed to the side while they talked. It was unusual for him, since back in the police academy he and his four friends had driven their instructor to despair. Then he accidentally teased her too much.

He heard the good-natured girl correct her clumsy English from before: "I didn't have home." He couldn't help bursting into laughter, then got a foot stomped on and earned the achievement of making a girl cry for the first time. At that moment, only one thought filled his mind:

I'm done for.

My big sister's definitely going to beat me up.

Reader's guide:

1. The male lead is Hagiwara Kenji. The heroine is an honest, kind, gullible unlucky girl, paired with a gentle, attentive, considerate police officer who loves teasing her.

2. A short, sweet story. The heroine belongs to neither the Red nor Black sides. She's an ordinary person from the real world who transmigrates into a fictional world, though she will accidentally encounter real booze. The only unusual thing about her is that she has two cats named Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya.

3. This story came from a dream I had after becoming obsessed with studying English (the English dialogue only appears in the first few chapters, and not much of it). To make the plot work, I changed one detail: in my headcanon, Hagiwara gets transferred to the First Investigation Division later on (directly kicking away the Hagi-Matsu death flags).
