The Case-Solving Gem's Secret Identity

Mo Qing transmigrated.

Her younger brother, Mo Li, transmigrated into the Detective Conan manga in a parallel world. After completing the mission assigned by that world's consciousness, he ran off, and then that world's consciousness grabbed her and made her take part in the manga's second run...

The world's consciousness even modeled a Gem System for her after her brother's Ark secret identity System.

The difference was that her brother unlocked new secret identities through popularity, while she synthesized new secret identities from the soul fragments of the dead.

Because of her brother Mo Li, the world's consciousness no longer had to worry about popularity. She was just a bonus gift the world's consciousness had dragged in for a special side story.

Mo Qing: ?

When people die, they may drop soul fragments.

Soul fragments come in three grades: inferior, ordinary, and excellent. 100 inferior soul fragments / 50 ordinary soul fragments / 10 excellent soul fragments = 1 new secret identity.

Each secret identity comes with some of the soul fragments' memories, and its design is based on Mo Qing's favorite anime, Land of the Lustrous.

The world's consciousness forbids her from killing people for no reason or targeting characters important to the protagonists. As long as she doesn't go too far, she's free to do whatever she likes.

Mo Qing, every bit as theatrical and playful as her younger brother Mo Li: Sounds good~

[The Light-and-Dark Twins: Amethyst]

They were separated at birth, but were twins as alike as reflections in a mirror...

One was an undercover agent who joined the organization after graduating from the police academy, while the other was a genuine member of the liquor organization.

"Twins share memories, so I'm with the organization," the undercover agent from the police academy told Gin.

"Twins share memories, so I'm with the Public Security Bureau," the genuine member of the liquor organization told Rei Furuya.

[Turned into a child: Phosphophyllite (first method)]

A girl who became small at the same time as Shinichi Kudo...

Unlike Conan, who was completely fine, she had lost a lot of her memories and acted even more like a little kid.

"I feel like I've forgotten so much. Who's Cinnabar? And who's Sensei?"

[He's Always Asleep: Padparadscha]

A clever man calmly watches a murder take place.

He seems to know everything, but he keeps silent.

Whenever the little detective notices that he has clues and tries to question him, he's always asleep.

[Sensei: Mo Qing]

A being who lives on in the mouths of the gem people, though she died long ago.

She was their teacher, and she lives on in their memories...

She will live forever, too.

Notes.

1. This is similar in genre and worldbuilding to The Ark Secret Identities of Detective Conan next door.

2. The story next door kills off the police academy group and Akemi's sister. This one doesn't.

3. OOC warning: Mo Qing plays the secret identities, so they may not be exactly like the original Land of the Lustrous. Some character designs are based on the anime, while others are based on the manga. The secret identities are all gem people; there are no Lunarians, flesh people, or Adamantine. So Mo Qing's own role is set as the gem people's teacher.

4. The blurb may be revised. For now, it's just an idea written down. For example, the pronoun "she" for Phosphophyllite may later be changed to "he," as mentioned in note 5.

5. Secret identities can switch between gem and human forms. Gem forms are all genderless; human forms have imaginary breasts and limbs, depending on the character design (?).

6. Will this story begin after The Ark Secret Identities of Detective Conan is finished?

7. This is the story of Mo Li's older sister, Mo Qing, and it has no CP. Mo Li hasn't watched Detective Conan, but Mo Qing has.

8. The story includes comments and forum posts, which Mo Qing can also see.

9. I forgot when I first wrote this blurb. Revised on 23.3.15 at 00:05.

Theme: Life is like a gem, dazzling and brilliant
