[Reader's Guide and Content Warnings]
1. The name Furuya Mafuyu takes inspiration from Toru Furuya, the voice actor for Rei Furuya, and Mariya Ise, who voiced Rei Furuya as a child. Ma comes from the first syllable of Mariya, and Fu from the romanized name Furuya. (In both cases, I chose the first hiragana sound.) That's how I naturally came up with the adorable name Mafuyu.
2. If the original work later proves this fic wrong, remember that I wrote this before January 10, 2023. [I hope Mr. Aoyama goes easy on us.]
3. The whole story is told from Mom's perspective. A real mom.
4. A slow-burn story, with a few light emotional stabs. Firmly on the Red side. Mom will always love you.
5. The police academy group gets saved. Five wonderful sons, and Mom Mafuyu is over the moon.
6. The blurb and title may be changed later, so please keep that in mind.
7. Very self-indulgent, with only mother-son and friendship themes, and lots of one-sided feelings. (But not romantic love.)
