In August 2007, on a whim, Suguru Geto set out with Haibara and Nanami to exorcise a Grade 2 curse. "It might be a bit of a waste of manpower... but when you're feeling down, getting away to a little place like this can be nice, right?" Haibara Yu invited them.
Haibara Yu survived.
"Want to come along this time, too? I've always wanted to see what a Special Grade mission is like, and with Geto-senpai there, nothing will go wrong." Sensing that something was off with his senior, Haibara Yu made this request in September. During the mission, he and Suguru Geto rescued two girls named Mimiko and Nanako.
From that point on, Suguru Geto's fate took an entirely new turn.

Gen Aokitsu has been saddled with enormous debt since childhood, and even sold one of her kidneys to pay it off. Every day, she hopes the world will end. But when she strikes back against a curse, the door to a new world opens before her.
"Jujutsu sorcerers are an extremely rare group, and indispensable to maintaining social stability." The black-haired young man who called himself a teacher spoke gently. "By joining us, you could directly or indirectly save hundreds, even thousands of people."
"Honestly, I sincerely hope the world gets destroyed. It makes no difference to me how many people die or survive." The black-haired, black-eyed girl looked indifferent. "I have no morals, so don't try to guilt-trip me."
"...You're short on money, aren't you?"
"Being a jujutsu sorcerer pays well." Suguru Geto opened the half-closed door. "Let's go."
The young man in a black uniform smiled at her, his eyes crinkling. Behind him, flowers bloomed lushly in the sunlight, and a verdant forest stretched as far as the eye could see.
Gen Aokitsu stepped across the boundary between light and shadow.
Theme: If you can't even save yourself, how can you save the world?
But the heroine was also an ordinary person before, right?
