* A spoiled, bossy screenwriter who is completely henpecked VS an indulgent, fatherly thoracic surgeon
* Childhood friends, age gap, aloof perfectionist falls in love
Ling Yan was dazzling and vivacious, the little princess doted on by the Fu and Ling families of Beihui.
The only setback in her bright and smooth-sailing life was when she nervously confessed her feelings to Fu Jibai, who was seven years older than her, back in middle school.
Fu Jibai listened patiently, then warned her with a stern expression and a voice even more fatherly than her own dad's: "Ling Yan, no dating while you're underage."
He even made her report her plans to him.
As the years went by, Ling Yan got sick of her family saying, "Yanyan is only afraid of her uncle," and even more sick of Fu Jibai always treating her like a child. So, in a fit of anger, she went to a nightclub.
The place was wild and steamy, with an anything-goes atmosphere.
Her friend narrowed her eyes. "Yanyan, I think I see your uncle."
Ling Yan was drunk. "No way. He doesn't like places like this, and he's on call at the hospital today."
She puffed herself up and jumped onto the sofa. "Besides, so what if he comes? Am I supposed to be scared of him?!"
"If he dares show up, I'll pin him down and kiss him."
"I'll kiss him until he cries!"
The room fell deathly silent.
Ling Yan looked up and saw a familiar, devastatingly handsome face.
She shakily climbed down from the sofa and saw Fu Jibai looking at her with an amused smile.
"Is that so?"

[Bonus Scene]
After they got married, Ling Yan wanted to hide in the spare bedroom six days out of every week.
Fu Jibai stopped her and gently pinched her cheek. "Didn't you say you'd kiss me until I cried?"
His voice was husky. "How about tonight?"
