Marshal Xia Xingyu, the legendary figure of the empire who led all Sentinels out of the Dark Age and ushered in a glorious era, was dead.
When he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated into Xia Xiaoyu, a pretty boy whom Shen Yang, the Central White Tower's supreme commander, had just brought home.
Xia Xiaoyu looked at the young man sitting on top of him.
Handsome, elegant, refined. His perfectly tailored designer shirt hugged his taut muscles. He was obviously rich.
More importantly, he was an S-rank Guide.
An S-rank Guide.
A Guide.
In his past life, the marshal had come from the slums. His fearsome reputation as a "monster" and "demon" had terrified the empire's Guides, and he had died alone. This time, he decided to lie flat.
So good.
Wifey, I'm hungry. Feed me. More, please.
.
Rumor had it that the White Tower's supreme commander, known for his freakish self-control, had finally snapped and taken a completely useless nobody as his bonded partner.
That good-for-nothing hadn't lifted a finger, yet had landed a hundred million in betrothal gifts. Even worse, he lounged around so infuriatingly that Shen Yang had to squeeze in time between his official duties to buy him a mansion and a private airship.
His shameless gold-digging ways landed him on the trending list, where furious citizens of the empire raged at him.
.
Xia Xiaoyu felt ashamed. "Yeah, my wife works too hard. A real man should ease his wife's burdens."
Too many of the White Tower staff under his wife's command were disobedient. They didn't get home on time after work, so Xia Xiaoyu went to take out a few.
The Federation's negotiation ships were an eyesore and upset his wife, so he went to take out a few.
Before long, the Southern White Tower fell. Then the Eastern White Tower fell.
Negotiations failed, the Federation refused to make peace, and it formally declared war on the empire.
Xia Xiaoyu: "Don't be scared, honey. I'm coming!"
The entire empire: "Please go home and live off your wife!!!"
