Her Boyfriend Got the Whole World Looking for Him

Lin Fan was an exhausted office drone, dragging his weary feet back to his rented apartment at ten every night.

“Splash, splash.” Water flowed from the faucet over the sink, and he scooped some up to wash his face.

Rustle, rustle. Something was moving beneath the sink. He finished washing and bent down to look. Oh, it was his boyfriend.

His boyfriend loved sticking close to him.

A hand reached out of the mirror to pass him toothpaste, then watched him leave from within the glass;

He waited with him at the bus stop, then watched him board from where he remained on the platform;

He stood up from the very back of the bus and gave him his seat, then watched him get off;

He stood on his head in front of the office building to greet him, then watched him go inside;

He kissed him wantonly in the empty records room at work, then escorted him out.

Until a psychologist sat down across from him.

“Let's imagine something.”

“For instance, what if your boyfriend had already died?”

“For instance, what if you never had a boyfriend at all?”

His boyfriend clawed his way back from the entire world to find him.
