The Sentinel Who Was Kept

You Xu had been sleeping alone in a dark, damp nest for many years.

Even he couldn't describe what kind of being he was. He only vaguely remembered how other races had described him many years ago: "An indescribable thing that is neither human nor ghost."

One day, instinct awakened him. The instinct to refuse to lie flat like his master urged him to complete his evolution as soon as possible and transform into a higher-dimensional being.

But evolution came with tremendous risks. He still needed to find a sufficiently powerful host in time, one in which to implant his offspring.

You Xu was ready to evolve. His mental tendrils could sense and control every being on this desolate planet, yet he still couldn't find a suitable host.

That changed when a starship suddenly landed on the planet, bringing him the powerful human he had set his sights on.

Following orders from the Tower, the First Special Squad set out to explore this mysterious planet.

The rich and unusual energy ore deposits inflamed tensions within the squad. The Tower's most powerful double-S-class Sentinel was betrayed by his Guide partner and unexpectedly plunged into a violent, uncontrollable state.

His teammates had no choice but to join forces to "deal with" the Sentinel, who was beyond saving.

Then a mysterious, indescribable tentacle groped its way out of the abyss and dragged away their out-of-control captain.

Terrified out of their wits, the squadmates fled in their starship and reported everything that had happened on the planet to the Tower.

Jiang Jin, the powerful Sentinel whom the others in the Tower called their "strongest one-man weapon," went through the most unforgettable experience of his life in the abyss.

Mysterious mental tentacles clung to him at every moment. A being he couldn't touch kept him like livestock, pumping him full until his body could take no more.

Eventually, the monster seemed satisfied and fell asleep. Jiang Jin did everything he could to escape from hell.

Having lost his Guide partner, and valued too highly for his combat ability to be discarded, Jiang Jin was mercifully kept by the Tower as a disposable asset, sent on one mission after another without a thought for his safety.

The punishing, endless missions soon caused his mental sea to collapse once more.

After the soothing efforts of countless high-ranking Guides had all failed, the Tower made an unexpected discovery: its strongest Sentinel had become host to a mysterious extraterrestrial life-form.

For research purposes, the Tower didn't destroy Jiang Jin immediately. Instead, it locked him in an observation room and left him to fend for himself.

After an unknown length of time, the Sentinel who had once been so powerful and arrogant was curled up in a corner, clutching his belly and barely clinging to life.

The door to the observation room suddenly opened, and a young Guide with an unbelievably low mental rating was thrown inside.

"That useless guy is done for..."

Jiang Jin vaguely heard the guards outside laughing.

Before Jiang Jin could even get the word "Get lost" out, the frail young Guide accurately reached for his belly and murmured, "I'm sorry I'm late."

Jiang Jin's eyes widened.

The young man lifted his chin with an air that brooked no argument, then bit and kissed his lips, both punishing and rewarding him. Jiang Jin felt those nightmare-like, unforgettable mental tentacles wrap tightly around him once more.

"Cuddle with me." The beautiful young man nuzzled his filthy face affectionately, seemingly unaware of anything. "My wife."
