To Win Over the Demoness

-

From the very first day Yun Yaoyao dreamed of joining the Spirit Sword Sect, she knew it was a heavenly paradise, and that her future senior brothers and sisters were all immortals banished to the mortal realm.

She was an idiot who had made it halfway up the mountain before tumbling all the way back down.

The bad news: she was about to roll all the way to the foot of the mountain.

The good news: someone stopped her with his foot.

Yun Yaoyao looked up. A handsome young man stood before her, wearing a jade crown and a ringed pendant at his waist, a sword in hand, and dressed all in white. His expression, however, was somewhat unpleasant.

Yun Yaoyao's little face was smudged with dust, as were the clean clothes she'd changed into before setting out. Only her eyes were round and bright.

She looked down and saw that her dusty clothes had rubbed against the young man's spotless shoes and white robes.

Without thinking, Yun Yaoyao blurted out, "S-s-senior Brother, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

The young man's expression turned cold. "You haven't even joined the sect yet. Who's your senior brother?"

After several days, Yun Yaoyao finally reached the Spirit Sword Sect's mountain gate. It had taken her half a day to get there.

The good news: the young man had brought her up on his flying sword.

The bad news: the ride had shaken her so badly that she'd thrown up all over his sword.

The young man's expression grew even worse.

Though Yun Yaoyao wasn't clever, she could tell she'd managed to offend someone the moment she arrived.

Yun Yaoyao said, "Senior Brother, I'm sor..."

The young man stepped back. "Stay away from me."

Yun Yaoyao joined the Spirit Sword Sect and became its junior sister. Everyone said she seemed sweet and a little spacey.

Even when practicing swordsmanship, she was... a little spacey.

So here's the question: how did this junior sister manage to get into the Spirit Sword Sect, a place renowned for its extraordinary people and spiritual energy?

"Ding! Congratulations, Host. You have completed Mission One: Help the supporting female character, Yun Yaoyao, join the Spirit Sword Sect."

Ning Zhuoxue transmigrated into a cultivation novel as a disposable second male lead.

The original character was exceptionally talented and destined to become the future sect leader of the Spirit Sword Sect. But he fell in love with the female lead, Shen Ling. Once his love-struck brain kicked in, the Spirit Sword Sect was invaded and destroyed by the demon race.

The System said, "Your mission is to win over the second female lead, Yun Yaoyao, help her follow the plot, and become the great demon king from the original story."

In the original story, Yun Yaoyao was a gifted demon saint who had grown up far from home. But she was love-struck, and destroyed the Spirit Sword Sect for the original male lead, Wei Lan.

Ning Zhuoxue watched Yun Yaoyao climb the spirit mountain for three days and nights, only to tumble back down halfway. At last, he couldn't hold back.

"...This idiot is supposed to become the great demon king of the original story?"

The System said, "Don't underestimate someone just because they're young and poor, Host."
