A few notes before you start:
The original title was "[Main Hunter] Chasing the Sun." The account I published it under was called "Deng Ying Lu Bai," but I haven't used it in two years and can no longer log in.
The original outline included a lot of Demon Slayer content. I've cut that from this revised repost, and will lightly edit the material already published before posting it here.
I'm truly grateful to everyone who has supported and enjoyed this story all along. Your love for it gave me the resolve to keep writing.
Blurb:
Legend says that after sunset, man-eating demons roam the land. Demon slayers also exist, cutting down demons and protecting the people.
But one day, the legend of demons gradually faded into the vast river of time, along with the demon slayers who had sacrificed themselves to fight them.
Only in front of that little grave, every year, hibiscus blossoms beaded with dew whisper her story in the wind.
But the legendary demon slayer had long since gone to another world, where she began a new journey.
The chaotic world was like a maze tangled with spiderwebs. With her vow in her heart, she stepped forward toward an unknown future.
She never looked back.
Until one day, she heard someone's voice behind her.
A butterfly imprisoned by the past broke free of its chains.
Even if its wings burned as it soared, it would fall by her side and melt away,
without regret in death.
Amid the ashes of the burning flames, she caught the butterfly.
And at last, the butterfly made itself hers.
[Important] Note: All chapters after Chapter 33 are new.
Reading guide:
1. Volumes One and Two were written two years ago, so the writing style may change from the start of the new chapters in Volume Two.
2. Volume One is an all-characters romance. From Volume Two onward, the romance is one-on-one. Kurapika's unrequited love (which becomes mutual) lasts a long time, and the heroine is oblivious.
3. My understanding of the original characters from two years ago may differ somewhat from how I understand them now.
4. Overall, I based the characters on their manga portrayals. Although the story includes events from the old anime, the characterization is still based on the manga, not the old anime. Kurapika's characterization in particular differs greatly from the popular interpretation. If that bothers you, please stop reading, and don't tell me how to write the characters in the comments.
5. In all of my stories involving the main cast, the Phantom Troupe are portrayed very unfavorably. Phantom Troupe fans, please read with caution.
6. I don't think I'll live to see the original story's Black Whale arc end, so I'll just end this story here. Thank you for all your support over the years.
Theme: Some things aren't worth persevering for only after you see hope. It is by persevering that you come to see hope.
Most of Kurapika's fandoms are about pushing girls away out of revenge and not wanting to drag down the person they love the most, while Oda takes the opposite route because he has nothing, so he wants to hold on to the only precious thing in his hands. The unique interpretation method gave me a deeper understanding of Kurapika, and the triangular relationship between them further made Leo Rioyu's image of Kurapika more three-dimensional. Compared with the ordinary route, I appreciate that Oda incorporates his own personal insights into the character into his works.
Kurapika: Why did the progress suddenly jump so much???
Also, when I was told that I owed a debt, I would definitely cry in my heart with the cat head emoticon! Why is she so cute? [If you are too natural, you will be deceived by gangsters!!
This is a bit exciting for ancient little girls
When my sister woke up: she was overwhelmed by flowers and at a loss. Jpg
It feels like Leorio has become a father.
In fact, I have a vague feeling that ancient Japanese people were very open-minded. Once two people are in love, the progress can be very fast, so as long as Kurapika is strong, the kitten can be eaten immediately [I would say that the innocent one in this relationship is you, Kurapika. If it were Yu, you would have been pushed down long ago]
Finished reading it in one sitting! The writing is great, woo woo woo, the storm cries, and the paranoid Xiaoku is so sweet. It's great to have an anchor and other future besides revenge! Give Rox a heart
I still think this is fine, just go ahead if you choose, fate is a wonderful thing, your destiny is in your own hands, just move forward.
But how much time does Coola have for the rest of his life? The whale ship is so dangerous that he is basically risking his life. I heard that neither the brigade nor Coola behind the old thief...
