Blurb
One day, a line of text claiming to have been written by a god suddenly appeared in the sky above the city, inviting all of humanity to join his game.
A flash of white light, and Chi Yu, who was buying a jianbing from a street stall, was forced into an instance.
[Players eliminated in the game will also disappear in reality.]
>>>
Chi Yu opened his eyes in a graveyard.
The good news: The god would give every player in each instance a special skill.
The bad news: Chi Yu was the only one who didn't get one.
But when the players fled to the graveyard's exit and, unable to unlock it, resigned themselves to dying there, he was the only one who pulled a key from his pocket, the one a monster had given him.
"I have one, but I don't know if it's the right one?"
*
The second time Chi Yu opened his eyes, he was in a villa hosting a dinner party.
Five monsters were hidden among the thirty players, and every three days, one player would be "eliminated."
As everyone in the instance began to break down amid their mutual suspicion, a raven in the villa suddenly spoke to him:
"Would you like some help? I can point out the monsters for you."
Chi Yu: "...Is this some new kind of scam?"
*
The third instance was a city under siege by zombies.
Surviving an apocalypse instance was hard enough, and he was unlucky enough to get bitten by a zombie.
But not only did Chi Yu avoid turning, the biological mother controlling the zombies even sent him supplies.
Chi Yu: "Are you guys seriously not messing with me??"
*
The fourth instance was a game of hide-and-seek aboard a cruise ship.
Starting with this round, the god took away everyone's abilities.
Chi Yu was escaping when he accidentally fell through a vent. But the ugly monster suddenly reached out and caught him, helping him get away safely.
Chi Yu: ???
So now he's the one cheating?
*
The fifth instance was a terrifying town where the inner and outer worlds shifted into one another.
Rooms that kept changing places. Monsters that came closer while invisible.
As one instance after another was conquered, the truth about Chi Yu's past gradually came to light.
|| A Few Things to Know ||
The character designs are exactly like the cover!
1. This isn't a power fantasy. The male lead never gets any abilities from the god. He relies entirely on help from (some) monsters, though most of the monsters in the instances beat him up along with everyone else.
(Special abilities are mostly just background details used to set up the plot.)
2. The male lead's personality and worldview are a little off, so he reacts to certain things in unusual ways... and sometimes does baffling things.
Trying to understand him as a normal person might be uncomfortable.
3. No CP and no romance at all. Everything is friendship.
Premise: Face life with hope, passion, and love

Ga... Ah? ! So have you been rescued?
Wow, I don't have enough brain power, I'm scared and I really want to see the follow-up
Those who love help, those who hate kill. [Love] is because "he" is their creator. Out of an instinct, they feel that they should return to their creator, even if they become one with "him". [Hate] is because "he" abandoned them, was created, and is no longer needed. Perhaps love and hate are all instilled by him.
I thought the protagonist had finally grown up to the point where he could protect people, but in the end he was gone, and it felt a bit like he was dying for the sake of dying.
Why can I always empathize with the protagonist? ? Every time the protagonist wants to do something, I feel that I would do the same thing. Xiaochi does it for the overall situation and clearance, and Liu Junmu does it for his friends. Both of them seem to be right, and both of them seem to be a little wrong.
"Baby! Look directly at me!" When the boss is not working as a cook, he often posts short videos, right?
Ah! Assessment! Ah! But Koike!
Ah, it's he! Great, Xiaochi will be with these gentle people this time and become a happy child
