The Bureau of Anomalous Incident Management, usually called the Anomaly Bureau, holds a pilgrimage up the mountain every year on the eighth day of the third month to worship the Everbright Divine Lord. They pray for peace, prosperity, and smooth progress in cultivation. It used to be an easy job.
Every day, they either read the feng shui and repair dragon veins, or deal with old ghosts wandering around mass graves and empty houses.
That was until the explosion at Qishan.
The Fusang Sacred Tree appeared in the world, the Golden Crow broke out of the ground, and karmic fire blazed over the North Sea... Nothing was normal anymore.
The Anomaly Bureau had never seen anything like this. Luckily, they still had Captain Shen, the bureau's ultimate trump card.
Captain Shen was highly accomplished, polite, unpretentious, and learned. He was a walking encyclopedia for the Anomaly Bureau.
When Captain Shen stepped in, he was worth two people.
Then everyone noticed that a long-haired man named Su Yan had appeared beside Captain Shen, who had always kept to himself.
He was beautiful, and he was bold.
He uprooted the Fusang Tree with one hand and beat the Golden Crow senseless with the other. He was a great evil spirit who defied heaven and earth. Everyone at the Anomaly Bureau kept their distance, speculating that he was Lin Wu, the ancient demon lord once executed by the Everbright Divine Lord.
Then they discovered, to their shock, that the demon lord and Captain Shen had a thing going on!
Please note!
A pseudo-three-lifetimes romance (ancient times + imperial era + modern day), primarily set in the modern day, with extensive flashbacks.
The blurb is written from the gong's perspective, while the story itself is from the shou's perspective. (I'm terrible at writing blurbs, and the shou's perspective is too complicated for me to explain.)
A taciturn, ruthless gong who kills himself at the slightest disagreement vs. a beautiful, powerful yet tragic shou who walks the line between good and evil and is a little unhinged
Reader's Guide
1. Many original elements. Readers who want strict historical accuracy, beware.
2. Updates follow the rankings, at 9 p.m.
3. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
(Second version of the blurb)
New novel: Until We Have Our Fill, an ancient-style court drama.
Blurb:
As the most privileged young master in the capital, Feng Nian'an grew up surrounded by luxury. In the corrupt Great Qi dynasty, he joined forces with treacherous officials, seeking only his own wealth and status.
He thought he was the only clear-eyed person in the world.
Until Zhongli Jin, heir to the Prince of Changping, came to the capital.
He investigated wrongful convictions, saved innocent people, impeached corrupt officials, and rooted out scoundrels...
He just always happened to oppose Feng Nian'an.
Feng Nian'an tried to stop him, but couldn't help admiring him.
When he learned that Zhongli Jin had fallen into someone else's trap, he even risked deceiving the emperor to save him.
Zhongli Jin saw right through him. "You don't truly want to rot alongside Great Qi, so why do you keep stopping me?"
Feng Nian'an fell silent. "My family has deep roots in the capital. One wrong step could ruin us forever. From now on, I won't stop you from saving the dynasty, and you won't stop me from keeping my family safe."
But Great Qi was already riddled with holes and beyond saving. Zhongli Jin's meddling only made it harder to keep the dynasty afloat.
Loyal ministers died tragic deaths. Censors gave their lives in protest.
At the mass graves, there was no end to the bodies that needed burying!
The spirits of the wronged haunted Feng Nian'an's dreams, forcing him to open his eyes.
Zhongli Jin: "What do you think now?"
Feng Nian'an, with nowhere left to turn: "Let's rebel."
Zhongli Jin: "Well said. Let's get to it."
The road to rebellion was long. One of them planned their every move, while the other cleared every obstacle from their path. Together, they worked in perfect harmony.
Late one night, Zhongli Jin looked at Feng Nian'an, exhausted and collapsed on the bed, and was overcome with tenderness.
I always feel I haven't treated you well enough. Without me, perhaps you could have lived your whole life in comfort, instead of joining me on this road of no return.
Feng Nian'an: "Then conquer the realm and give it to me as an apology."
The story itself isn't this serious. It's about two consummate actors putting on a show, deceiving people, and fighting for the throne.
Young general gong vs. frail young master shou

I've always wanted to ask them who is the gong, but I'm still ignorant 🤔

"Have you not found your daughter-in-law yet?" This is a big bug for the author~ Lingzi means your son, I don't need you to emphasize the word.
Oh my god, you're finished. I haven't finished it yet. I'll finish it when I'm on vacation.
