This story preserves Severus's deep, enduring love for Lily from his previous life, while also giving the professor a new life. It lets that lonely child find a new salvation, and shows him that love need not be confined to that bright, sunny girl. Someone else can also silently give everything they have just to save him.

Theme: When I first began writing, I was conflicted. I didn't know whether to erase the professor's profound and enduring love for Lily. I've read many stories about the professor. Some use an original female lead to deliberately sideline Lily during the Marauders' era, while others turn the professor evil or erase the love that moved us. But we have to admit that his deep love for Lily is also one of the professor's most defining traits. So I won't deliberately avoid Snape's passionate, devoted love for Lily in this story. In his first life, the professor will carry that love for Lily with him. In his new life, the arrival of Luoya will bring salvation to the professor on behalf of all of us who love him, and give the Severus Snape in our hearts a perfect ending.
