The Handsome Butler [Nonhuman]

1. The Human Chef in the Merman Prison 2. The Pretty Maid at the Incubus Inn 3. The Human Keeper in the Underground Fighting Arena 4. The Human Slave in the Werewolf Hunting Grounds The blurb goes something like this: * The merfolk who had committed crimes were driven from the sea and sent to the island prison where they were held. Iron chains pierced their shoulder blades, half their tail fins had been cut away, and they were locked in a foul ditch in the center of the island. "Hey, there's a new human kitchen assistant today. Damn it, he isn't going to catch land animals and feed them to us, is he?" "Look on the bright side. It can't taste worse than bloated whale meat." They talked freely and eyed him maliciously. When they saw the little chef bullied and ostracized, they laughed gleefully at his red-rimmed eyes. Until one day, the little chef, covered in injuries, gave each of them a delicious piece of cake. "This is the last meal I'll make for you. Good luck from now on." The little chef left, and the merfolk went mad. (I'll revise it when I start posting, but the central premise won't change.) 20240410 Theme: Work hard!
