Synopsis: On the first day of school, Shi Yue and Lin Shen were made to stand at the school gate, one on each side, drawing the attention of everyone who passed by.
On the third day of school, Shi Yue and Lin Shen tumbled into a heap in the hallway, then went to the school infirmary one after the other.
On the seventeenth day of school, Shi Yue and Lin Shen became roommates, facing each other every day as they practiced calligraphy.
Inside the escape room, they stood “quietly” in the pitch-black darkness.
“Calmed down?” Lin Shen let go of the hand covering Shi Yue's mouth.
“Are you the boss of this level?” Shi Yue wiped his mouth.
“No, I just happened to be passing by,” Lin Shen replied casually.
The escape room had a character called Mr. Fish Scales. He could choose to help the players or join the NPC faction, but he was very hard to encounter because he appeared in the escape room under all sorts of identities.
Only later did Shi Yue realize how remarkably well-timed that day had been. Every choice had been carefully made to seem like a coincidence.
