Adorable little snake x cool, aloof bunny
Yun Miao'an is a snake demon disguised as an ordinary person. She stays in the human world for just one person:
Tu Zhizhi.
Tu Zhizhi is the mortal wife she married in the human world.
The two wives live together in harmony, their love stronger than gold. In the eyes of all their neighbors, they are the perfect family.

Demons can live carefree lives for ten thousand years.
But humans aren't demons. They grow old and die within a hundred years.
Yun Miao'an's only wish was to live as a mortal, stay by her dear little wife's side, and accompany her until the end of her natural life.
Then she would leave the human world, devote herself to cultivation, and put her mortal attachments behind her.

In the blink of an eye, eighty years passed. During that time, Yun Miao'an used magic to change her appearance, giving herself white hair and wrinkles, all so she could care for her equally frail, elderly Tu Zhizhi until the end.
They were both "old," and neither could bear to part with the other. Tu Zhizhi even said she wanted to outlive her wife, then follow her into death.
Yun Miao'an was deeply moved.
Unfortunately, she was the demon, and was destined to live longer.
So she waited peacefully, then waited another eighty years. The neighbors changed from one generation to the next. Only Tu Zhizhi, though she'd grown a little older, still hadn't died.
Yun Miao'an couldn't take it anymore. Her wife had nearly lived for two hundred years. How could she still be a normal person?

That night, worried about her nearly two-hundred-year-old wife going out to patrol the mountain, Yun Miao'an secretly followed her.
There was a rabbit demon in the mountain. Her wife was in danger! Yun Miao'an was horrified and immediately leaped into action.
She used her magic and no longer bothered to hide that she was a snake demon. Silver scales appeared on her neck as she grabbed Tu Zhizhi and shielded her behind her.
But the feeling was... a little off.
Why was there a fluffy little tail at Tu Zhizhi's lower back?

After pretending for two hundred years, it turned out her wife was a demon too?
[Reading Guide]:
1. This is a trope I really like, one that originated from a reading account on Weibo that asked for recommendations for stories using the trope. Since no one wrote a GL version, I wrote one myself.
2. This is not a marriage-first, love-later story. It's about a loving married couple's everyday life, constantly trying to pass as mortals while teetering on the brink of having their identities exposed.
3. Happy Year of the Rabbit!
