In 1985, Courtyard No. 95, Baling Street, was built. This is a typical courtyard surrounded by four Soviet-style seven-story red brick houses. Employees and their families of the provincial radio and television system moved into Courtyard No. 95 One after another.
In 1987, Awen was born into a family in Room 702 of Unit 6. Not long after, his younger brother Anan came to stay with their family. During the fifteen years from 1987 to 2002, Awen lived in No. 95 Baling Street. He experienced a happy but unpredictable teenage years in this compound. It may be fueled by the tide of the times, or it may be the only way for a boy to grow up. Awen's childhood was intertwined with No. 95 Baling Street until he finally left here.
From Awen's perspective, this article takes readers back to the vibrant but calm 1990s. There are his good friends in the yard. They once met through their family compound, and eventually went their separate ways as the times progressed. There is also his former family in the yard, which was a warm big family, but in the end they left in their own ways.
To this day, Awen still returns to No. 95 Baling Street from time to time, sitting on the old bench, with those tireless teenagers still in front of him.
