After I Got a Fortune-Bringing Ghost

Yu Deng had believed since childhood that poverty was scarier than ghosts.

Until he discovered a ghost had moved into his home.

“Here's the deal.” Yu Deng held up a ghost-repelling artifact, making what sounded like a proposal but was really a threat. “You can live here, that's fine. Just pay rent. But if you dare get in the way of my fortune, I'll send you straight to the afterlife.”

To avoid being branded a penniless ghost who blocked Yu Deng's fortune, the ghost had never worked so hard.

For example, all of the following were the ghost's doing:

1. Yu Deng won first prize in the lottery.

2. The old house Yu Deng lived in was demolished, and he received a huge payout.

3. Yu Deng somehow came into a massive inheritance.

4. Everyone who had offended Yu Deng suffered a huge financial loss.

Yet Yu Deng once again picked up the ghost-repelling artifact passed down through his family and pointed it at the ghost pinning him down.

The ghost wasn't the least bit afraid of that stupid artifact. “You took my money, so now you belong to me.”

With the corners of Yu Deng's eyes red and his voice hoarse, he had no power to intimidate. “Are you trying to get yourself killed?!”

“You know I've already died,” the ghost drawled shamelessly. “But I don't mind dying on top of you a few more times every day.”

Purpose: A ghost may love money, but it should come by honest means.
