Originally titled: Darling, Have This Bowl of Easy Money
The protagonist has personality flaws, but he's rich.
The love interest is hardworking and ambitious, but not as rich as the protagonist.
Blurb:
Lang Junyan's father died when he was four. His mother remarried and had a son with his stepfather, who took all her love away from him.
Disliked by his mother and beaten by his stepfather, Lang Junyan was kicked out of his home by his own mother at the age of twelve. He then fell in with a gang leader, worked his way to a degree from a prestigious university, and became an executive at a publicly listed company...
Then his stepfather's company ran into financial trouble. To secure an investment, he agreed to a marriage alliance with the Fang family.
The intended match was Ye Fangming, the Ye family's brutal and oddly handsome eldest son.
His younger brother protested and refused to marry, so his stepfather called for Lang Junyan. His mother threatened to kill herself unless he married in his brother's place. Lang Junyan's sympathy got the better of him, and he agreed.
But the day after the wedding, he ran away and lived an easy life for two years.
Until one day, someone entered his life.
When it rained, he clumsily held an umbrella over him.
When he was hurt, he would bandage him with red-rimmed eyes.
Clumsy, but unhesitatingly devoted.
Of course, he would also take the initiative to invite him to watch things meant for adults.
And sneak over to him while he was asleep.
Lang Junyan knew he had already been unfaithful to his spouse in his heart, so he chose to divorce. He also chose to leave, not wanting the person who had captured his heart to feel guilty.
But in the end, he was told... the person he had been unfaithful with in his heart was his own wife?
He thought he was an idiot for failing to recognize his lawful spouse.
P.S.:
One of the protagonist's pupils is blue. He was born that way. Don't ask, it's a genetic mutation, according to biology [mostly because I'm making it up!!
They only met once, on the day they registered their marriage. When they met again later, the protagonist had changed his hairstyle and style, put in colored contact lenses, and was wearing a secret identity that wasn't very convincing, so the love interest thought he was just someone similar and didn't recognize him. He simply didn't think much of it; he's not that stupid.
The love interest thinks he's being unfaithful to the protagonist, while the protagonist is simply doing everything he can to attract his husband's attention. If you don't like it, click X. This is my personal preference, so don't insult the characters.
Neither of them is perfect, but they're made for each other.
Love interest's point of view. They dote on each other. Readers with strong preferences for either the love interest or the protagonist, please proceed with caution.
Theme: Live as yourself, and laugh your way to strength
