As always, a short story of around 30,000 words, updated daily.
Lin Zhaoxi × Lu Qianze
The moon belongs to the planets. Planets cannot undergo nuclear fusion, so they cannot produce light or heat; they can only reflect the sun's light. It's much like having an inferiority complex, which is often caused by prolonged negative experiences while growing up and a lack of care and affection from childhood. It makes a person feel inferior and eager to please others. They want to hide forever in their protective shell, yet at the same time pray that someone will pull them out of the shadows and into the sunlight.
Lu Qianze gave Lin Zhaoxi the light he wanted, but it was too faint to illuminate him.
In the end, the rose was trapped in the dim light and died in the barren soil it had always known.
A few reading tips:
1. This is a short story revised from a very old manuscript. It's probably an extremely melodramatic tale of youthful angst, the kind that might make your toes curl. If you can't get through it, dear readers, run while you still can! Maybe we'll meet again someday.
2. The love interest won't be replaced or redeemed. He's a piece of trash who deserves to die! A piece of trash! No redemption! He deserves to end up alone!!!
3. I'm not good at writing angst. If you can't get through this one, wait for my next book! (Trying to keep you here.) The next one will be a sweet treat!
4. If you spot typos or plot holes, please point them out gently, dear readers. My perspective is limited, so I may have ideas or choices that differ from yours. Please be kind when pointing that out.
5. Please don't bring up unrelated works or authors, and don't mention me or this book in other authors' comment sections. Readers who are courteous are all wonderful.
Theme: Stay away from emotional manipulation! Stay away from trash men! Otherwise, you'll end up miserable!
Ah. . . I really thought Teruki survived. But he was finally relieved. The world had been not good to him, and there was no sunshine and soil for beautiful roses to grow. I hope Zhaoxi can always be surrounded by sunshine and live in love in the next life.
I finished it quickly and felt a little sad... I really hope that Teruxi can have the opportunity to live like Lu Fantasia. Instead of living by the rules defined by others.
