The Little Concubine

Blurb:

[Spoiled maid in a concubine's chambers vs. clever young lady of a noble family]

Sheng Qinglian was a noblewoman from a powerful family. Unfortunately, her birth mother died young, and her father showed her no affection. Every step she took in the Sheng household felt like walking on thin ice.

Qinglian only hoped to become an official through the imperial examinations one day and leave this heartless household. But when she was eight, someone damaged her health, making it impossible for her to take the examinations for the rest of her life.

Qinglian lost all hope.

Fortunately, she had an adorable little pet rabbit of a maid in her chambers, who stayed by her side day and night, never leaving her. The little rabbit not only bore her children, but also encouraged her to be self-reliant, nurse her health, and try the imperial examinations again.

For the sake of this little maid, she would rise again and climb to the top, keeping her close and cherishing her with the greatest care.

And so...

The little rabbit was cared for by Sheng Qinglian, who rose to become chancellor, and grew lovelier and lovelier, with fair, tender skin and a radiant beauty. She also gave birth to a whole litter of little bunnies.

1. Set in an alternate Tang-Song era. Don't worry about the details.

2. A sweet historical ABO romance. The female A has no physical appendages; if I say she can bear children, then she can.

3. The author's writing is improving. Discussions about the plot are welcome, as are suggestions about my writing.

Theme: Turn the tables against adversity and keep striving
