Content warning: The protagonist has no romantic pairing in the Conan world. Their original-world pairing is mentioned in only a few lines and won't affect your reading.
The protagonist is blind. If that's something you can't handle, please don't read. They're based on my OC; I got carried away and started writing because I thought their experiences suited Conan.
※ Not a redemption story. Characters may be OOC, the logic is messy, the timeline is a mess, this was written on impulse, and updates are irregular.
Today was the second day Chu Xiao... no, Hayakawa Shoya had been in this world. Things got off to a bad start when he ran into Conan.
Red: Sir, I did warn you that today was not a good day for you to go out.
Hayakawa Shoya: It's not like I expected to be this unlucky. I had great luck before I got here.
Red: Sir, I believe you should have realized as much after arriving here for reasons unknown.
Conan met someone while he was out today, standing in front of an old mansion in Beika Town. The man had black hair and golden eyes, a single black-feather earring, and a silver-gray cane. He seemed gentle, and he had what looked like a very humanlike phone.
Conan decided to boldly approach him.
Conan: Hey, hey, I've never seen you before, mister! Did you just move here?
Hayakawa Shoya: That's right. I moved in yesterday. I'm your new neighbor.
Conan: Do you live in this mansion, mister? It looks like nobody's lived here for a long time.
Hayakawa Shoya: I do. This house was here in my world, too, wasn't it? My parents left it to me.
Conan thought it was strange. This gentle-looking person always seemed to have something inexplicably out of place about him.
Hayakawa Shoya: I didn't notice.
Red: Neither did I.

It's just one chapter. You don't touch fish like this.
Wait a minute, my dear, just because the protagonist fishes doesn't mean you should also fish with him.
