For the first sixteen years of Er Ya's life, as far back as she could remember, most of her days were spent working, looking after her family, tending the family's livestock, and taking care of the fields belonging to her production team.
Less than half a month after leaving the production team, she died on the way home and caused trouble for many people.
Did Er Ya resent anyone? Probably not. She didn't understand anything: why she was alive, why a few words she'd said had hurt people, or why she died. Even at the moment of her death, she didn't understand.
When she came back to life, Er Ya was still confused, but she knew she mustn't hurt anyone.
After learning that, she also learned that she needed to study, that only by gaining skills could she make something of herself, and that she needed something to strive for if she wanted a good life.
Starting over, Er Ya seemed to understand, yet seemed not to. Along the way, she met all kinds of people. Some would lend her a hand, while others would kick her when she was down. Life always goes on.
The thing Er Ya learned best was to keep striving for a better life.
An ancient seed takes form in the Pool of Cleansing Resentment in the underworld.
A Zhao travels through various small worlds, helping vengeful ghosts resolve their grievances, learning about the seven emotions and six desires, and experiencing all kinds of lives.
She learns various skills, lives each day with her feet on the ground, and gains profound insights.
