Before he died, Jiang Mingqiu had two great regrets. First, he hadn't lived to see the dawn of the next day at Cangsheng Hall. Second, he hadn't killed his little disciple, who disobeyed his master, ran around causing trouble, and made mischief everywhere.
As the greatest grandmaster under heaven, he had spent his life teaching and imparting knowledge, and died for all the people of the world. He thought he had died for a worthy cause, with no regrets. But just before his death, a wisp of his consciousness drifted to his troublesome disciple. He had so many disciples, and every one of them grieved deeply over his death. There was only one who didn't: Meng Yin.
Meng Yin had been a naughty child, always getting him into trouble. He never admitted to his mistakes, and even brazenly declared that one day he'd surpass Jiang Mingqiu in cultivation and make him call him Master. Someone so disrespectful to his teacher should have been thrown out, but Jiang Mingqiu kept putting up with him because he was orphaned and genuinely talented. He raised him like an ancestor, while keeping him under strict supervision to stop him from going astray.
Even so, when Meng Yin grew up, he still went down the demonic path and became a stain on Jiang Mingqiu's life. Even after being expelled from the sect, he remained Jiang Mingqiu's nightmare, haunting his thoughts day and night until the very end.
Just as Jiang Mingqiu thought he would die with his eyes wide open, he was reborn.
After his rebirth, he saw Meng Yin's now fully grown face.
Jiang Mingqiu was furious. After falling to the demonic path, Meng Yin had even learned such filthy tricks, turning himself into a bewitching beauty.
Then he heard Meng Yin tell him to call him Master.
Once he realized that he was now one of Meng Yin's new disciples, Jiang Mingqiu decided to take his revenge slowly.
But making your own master call you Master is the sort of thing that gets you struck by lightning.
Every time Jiang Mingqiu called him Master, Meng Yin got struck by lightning. Yet Meng Yin seemed used to it, and even enjoyed it.
Ever since Meng Yin was expelled from the sect, Cangsheng Hall had forbidden him to enter. One day, Jiang Mingqiu happened to tell Meng Yin about his past self.
Meng Yin: "Oh, that? Jiang Mingqiu was just worried he liked me too much to control himself, so he kicked me out, right, little disciple?"
Jiang Mingqiu: "..."
Everyone knew Jiang Mingqiu was a living bodhisattva who saved people from suffering, but no one was willing to give their life for him. No one except Meng Yin.
After leaving Jiang Mingqiu, Meng Yin began looking forward to the day Jiang Mingqiu died. At last, Jiang Mingqiu would be his disciple alone.
It just didn't go quite the way he expected.
Why was he still scared out of his wits by Jiang Mingqiu when he'd turned into a child? Jiang Mingqiu never stopped nagging him. Had his annoying personality been there from birth?
A master who actually indulges his disciple x a disciple who just loves to annoy his master
