The Moonlight Villain

In novels, some protagonists have a moonlight in their hearts, someone who usually shines a light into their darkened souls and whose gentle presence soothes them.

The moonlight can become the flashpoint for conflict between male leads, or a catalyst for romance.

Most moonlights are short-lived or disabled...

[Disabled Older Brother as Moonlight, Top x Devoted Younger Brother, Bottom] (Both are unhinged)

Song Xianyu, the sole heir of the Song family, was born disabled. He is dark and cold-tempered, unable to walk like an able-bodied person. Everyone gives him a wide berth. They say he hates having healthy people stand before him and will break their legs.

Everyone fears him, except Song Jiyu. He is not a Song, but the housekeeper's son, and he has cared for Song Xianyu's younger brother since childhood.

Everyone says Song Xianyu is terrifying, but to Song Jiyu, he is salvation. After Song Xianyu dies, Song Jiyu becomes the second Song Xianyu, until the childhood-friend male lead of this novel pulls him out of the abyss.

Song Xianyu is bound to a Short-Lived Moonlight System. After being reborn, he must fill Song Jiyu's affection meter and the other protagonist's hatred meter.

But when Song Jiyu locks Song Xianyu in a dark room and chains him to the bed, Song Xianyu realizes he has taken things too far.

(Not incest. They aren't related on their household register.)
