Xu Muqing came from the interstellar era for a vacation. In this ancient world, she couldn't speak the language or read the writing. After living like a wild person for a few months, she pretended to be a victim in front of a peasant woman and was taken in as her adopted daughter.

The surroundings were simple and the air was fresh. It was the perfect place for a vacation.

Before long, war broke out everywhere and the people were plunged into misery. Xu Muqing began leading the villagers from place to place as they fled.

But nobody told her there'd be wars in ancient times, too!

Looking at the scarred land, where fewer than one in ten people had survived, Xu Muqing decided to put the traditional virtues of the working people to use and follow the principle that food comes first. She began by exchanging for seeds through the System, then improving farming tools and teaching agricultural knowledge.

The long swords that previously couldn't even cut through chain mail became legendary weapons once they had blast furnaces. Everyone said the soldiers of the Changning Army descended with divine weapons and were invincible in battle.

Shifang City, whose people had mostly fled, came back to life. Crops were planted across the land once ravaged by war, and the fields were no longer strewn with starving corpses. So many people came seeking refuge that they nearly burst through the city gates.

The lands under Xu Muqing's rule became a paradise that everyone longed for.

A little green garden, an oxygen-rich residential area, and a field of roses.

There was even a small vegetable patch, with vegetables so precious that people felt they deserved to die just for touching them.

The locals tried every trick in the book to get residency permits for the paradise.

Flattering the owner was child's play, while their beauty schemes meant Yun Shen saw a set of pectorals every five steps and a flirtatious look every ten.

Then people who visited the paradise regularly noticed that their chronic illnesses, caused by years of living in the scorching wasteland, were beginning to improve. The entire continent went mad.

The word paradise was too small for it. This was clearly salvation granted to them by Heaven!

Yun Shen, who had only wanted to eat her fill, suddenly realized that somewhere along the way, she had truly built a city.

The locals, now recovered, began rebuilding their homes.

And a man had quietly become part of her life, too.

Yun Shen rubbed her chin. "Why does it feel like this paradise was built for me?"
