Shen Nian transmigrated during her own coronation ceremony, and became the vicious, brainless contrast character in a variety show about children.
The heroine is kind and virtuous, has a harmonious marriage, and a genius of a little boy who is sweet and caring. Meanwhile, Shen Nian is an arrogant, demanding stepmother who married a powerful man to climb into high society. Jealousy, scheming, and getting face-slapped are all she is good for.
In the end, she is mocked by the entire internet, and her dream of marrying into a wealthy family is shattered.
Her stepson, meanwhile, is a spoiled brat. His foolishness and selfishness serve to highlight how clever and well-behaved the heroine's child is.
Shen Nian: I spent my whole life scheming, and finally became the champion of the palace intrigue. Am I really going to be scared of a little thing like this?
She is ready to make her next great comeback when she discovers that the little crown prince, Fu Changning, whom she raised at her side, has transmigrated here too, and become her stepson.
She actually has to be his stepmother again?!
In their previous lives, the two had pretended to get along while testing each other at every turn, and put on a show of a loving mother and filial son in public.
The little crown prince in Shen Nian's eyes: mature beyond his years, full of schemes.
The Shen Nian in the little crown prince's eyes: a face like Guanyin, a heart like a venomous snake.
The two of them stare at each other: That look says it all. You're the last person I want to see again.
Shen Nian glances at the System's script and smiles faintly. Since that's how it is, she'll be the demanding stepmother in this rich family for sure.
