Mo Li had a sworn enemy in the Celestial Realm.
Whenever they met, they argued. They were like fire and water.
Who could have guessed that one day they would descend to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations, lose their memories, and fall hopelessly in love?
After returning from their tribulations and remembering all those intimate moments, the two of them:
Mo Li: ...I'm shutting myself away.
Xuan Yue: ...I want to die.
They thought the past was too embarrassing to revisit. But one day, Mo Li discovered that Xuan Yue had been secretly watching their memories from the mortal realm.
At the unbearable sight of the scenes on the Water Cloud Mirror, Mo Li angrily crushed it and warned him, "Don't think about those things from the mortal realm ever again."
Xuan Yue suddenly asked, "What about the things that didn't happen in the mortal realm?"
Mo Li didn't understand at first.
Xuan Yue: "Did you think you only kissed me when we were in the mortal realm?"
Mo Li: "???"
My new novel, She Really Was a Hooligan, Is Now Available. Please add it to your reading list!
[Former gang boss, now a federal military major general, fake hooligan and true romantic woman x professor with the coldest, holiest-looking face, doing the most xx things, a scheming, secretly sensual man]
After a wave of mutant creatures breached the wall, Sheng Yan, then captain of the Federal First Special Operations Team, led her team to the research institute where Chu Mingshu worked.
When she got there, she found that the famous "flower of the research institute" really was as handsome as everyone said.
Sheng Yan had loved teasing people ever since she was a child, so naturally she couldn't resist. She even found an excuse to sneak in a couple of touches while he was getting vaccinated.
Chu Mingshu: "...Captain Sheng, are you a hooligan?"
Sheng Yan grinned. "Sorry, I really was a hooligan once."
Chu Mingshu: "..."
When her assignment ended, Chu Mingshu said coldly, "Captain Sheng, I hope this is the last time we meet."
Sheng Yan: "But I'd quite like to see you again. What should I do?"
Chu Mingshu said nothing. He glanced at her and turned to leave.
Sheng Yan figured he wanted to tell her to get lost.
After leaving the institute, Sheng Yan put Chu Mingshu out of her mind.
But when she was out on a mission, Chu Mingshu showed up.
Chu Mingshu: "I'm here to run an experiment."
Sheng Yan: "Oh."
Then she turned around and started chatting with a cute guy she'd just met.
Just as the guy on the other end of the screen was about to show off his workout results, Chu Mingshu appeared behind her without warning.
"Have you finished writing your experiment report?"
The cute guy on the screen said in alarm, "Not yet... Professor Chu, I'll go write it right now!"
Then he immediately ended the call.
Sheng Yan frowned and looked behind her. "Why are you here? Is something wrong?"
Chu Mingshu: "Nothing. I just came to bother you for a bit."
He turned and walked away as if nothing had happened.
Sheng Yan: "???"
Later, Sheng Yan tried her best to ignore the figure standing in front of her desk as she hid in her office.
Chu Mingshu ran a finger over her fountain pen. "You haven't been home for two days."
Thinking about what she would have to do at home, Sheng Yan felt her back ache.
"I've really been so busy these past two days. I actually want to go home," she said, feigning regret.
Chu Mingshu's gaze swept over her office desk, sofa, and window. "It's fine. We can do it here, too."
Sheng Yan closed her eyes in despair. "...Let's go home after all."
