When a Socially Anxious Man Binds to an Unmentionable System

Jiang Xixi is the kind of girl in class who barely registers. She's introverted, socially anxious, and average at school. What she fears most is talking to people, and she's more comfortable when nobody pays attention to her.

One night, all she did was trip while walking down the road, and she somehow got bound to an indescribable System. Her mission: win over the aloof, ascetic boy who is the most popular guy in class, because he will become a villain in the future, and only love can change him.

Jiang Xixi panicked. "Are you sure you didn't bind yourself to the wrong person? I can save him? I've never even said a word to him."

System: "Yup! Just do what I say and you'll definitely succeed!"

Jiang Xixi: She wasn't even this confident in herself.

Day One of the mission.

System: "Bring him a carefully prepared lunch and give it to him in person. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach."

Jiang Xixi did her best to avoid everyone, shoved the lunch into the villain's desk, and breathed a sigh of relief.

The System was exasperated. "How will he know you brought it? How will he know to eat it?"

Jiang Xixi remained unfazed. "Look, he ate it."

The villain had just taken a bite. His expression froze, and he glanced at Jiang Xixi with an unreadable look before finishing the whole lunch.

Day Two of the mission.

System: "First you need to become his friend. Today's task is to greet him by name when you see him."

Jiang Xixi ran into the villain at the classroom door. The System kept urging her to speak, but she couldn't get a word out.

The villain suddenly smiled at her. "Hello, Jiang."

Day Three of the mission.

System: "You need to create more opportunities for contact. Pretend to trip and fall on him."

Jiang Xixi stalled and stalled some more, then finally touched the villain's stationery.

She declared righteously, "This counts as contact too. Indirect contact!"

Then she happily recorded: Another day of earnestly pursuing my target.

The System said coldly, "At this rate, you'll never win over the villain. If this world is destroyed, you're doomed too."

The villain: "Is that so?"

If she couldn't win him over, he'd just have to go after her himself.

Mission accomplished. The System was dumbfounded. That worked too?

Jiang Xixi lay in the villain's arms, looking proud as she told the System, "See? I won him over. I'm amazing!"
