Tianfang Qihui is an influencer with 500,000 YouTube followers. In her vlogs, she eats brunch, shops, and buys luxury goods, making every day look full and wonderful. In reality, she's nearly broke and can't afford to eat.
There's no helping it. The influencer industry is fiercely competitive now. She started making videos at eighteen, and she's twenty-six now. After eight years, it's hard to stay popular without a whole range of skills.
To bring in more views, she gathers her courage and signs up for a dating reality show. She even swallows her pride and uses the label she least wants to mention, a graduate of the University of Tokyo's law department, as part of her persona. After all, with no savings four years after graduating, she's practically the "shame of Todai."
She pretends to be a demure girl who charms men, batting her eyelashes at the show's most popular contestant, a handsome, blond, dark-skinned detective. It's all carefully staged to generate buzz. In private, though, she can't stop drooling over the long-haired, handsome dance instructor among the female contestants.
She never expected that her carefree life of eating, drinking, having fun, and playing around would pull her into a huge conspiracy.

Male lead: The overworked king of the workplace, Tooru. He joins the dating show under duress to gather intelligence.
Warnings: The female lead herself is the biggest red flag, so only read if you can handle her. There's not much mystery-solving, and everyone is wildly out of character.
