[Western Crossover] Pet Therapy

This story is being rebooted.

Main DC continuity, with mostly N52 settings and plotlines.

Original female lead, pairing is set.

The author is bad at starting stories, please bear with me.

Pet therapy (zootherapy):

A form of psychotherapy involving the care of animals. It is usually used as an adjunct to psychological treatment.

Jade Harold is sick, and not just a little.

One day, her irredeemably messed-up dads foisted a puppy on her, all under the lovely pretext of pet therapy.

Jade stared silently at the puppy cowering in the corner and glaring at her, then swallowed the medication she was supposed to take that day.

Later, some lunatic dad killed the puppy she had worked so hard to raise. Jade silently began plotting to kill the old man who had interrupted her treatment.

Later still, even sicker Jade came across an injured big dog. But was it really a good idea to bring this completely crazy big dog home?

Later, Jade looked at the two of them fighting on the floor, silently walked out, and called Gotham's vigilantes:

"Hello, Batman? I'd like to go back to Arkham."

---Warning---

1. This is a serious drama. The author loves angst and is a fan of Mr. J. Read at your own risk!

2. The timeline is chaotic, but most characterizations and plotlines follow N52. A mash-up and altered take on various comics and animations.

3. The female lead is sick, and not just a little. She is a Lawful Evil ISTJ with no superpowers.

4. The pairing is set: one-on-one with Aaron from Primal Fear.

5. This book contains major spoilers for Primal Fear and the author's personal interpretation. If you're thinking of watching it, please go watch it right now! It's one of the best twist films in the author's opinion.

6. This is the author's own fanfic, with my own take on the characters. Any departures from canon will be noted at the end of the chapter.

7. To reiterate, this book involves N52 plotlines, including Jason Todd's origin being connected to the Joker.

Including, but not limited to, The Killing Joke, A Death in the Family, A Death in the Family, Three Jokers

My Hollywood entertainment novel, The Liar's Favorite, is being serialized next door. Come check it out.
