Dreamland Adventure [Infinite]

[Waiting for a distinguished reader to leave a comment]

The world of Morpheus is made up of dreams. Now the dream tree that sustains this world is in trouble, so its residents have summoned dream investigators from the real world to save them.

Jiang Mian, an utterly ordinary high school senior, never imagined that this shady otherworld would steal her sleep and make her experience the life of a wage slave in her dreams ahead of time.

If only this were an ordinary story about a hero saving another world. Unfortunately, Jiang Mian isn't the chosen hero. She became a candidate investigator because of some kind of bug.

From then on, Jiang Mian is forced to start her working life in this shady otherworld, constantly traveling through dreams on the verge of collapse and repairing their cracks while her life hangs in the balance.

[Instance One: Pandora's Box]

After Pandora's Box is opened, the things inside infect the teachers and students at a school. A game of pursuit between the infected and the uninfected begins.

When he is cornered on the rooftop with nowhere left to run, he says to Jiang Mian, "This isn't your dream. Let me take you out of here."

"Don't trust him. Don't go with him." Her deskmate grabs her other hand.

[Instance Two: Highway Marathon]

Jiang Mian is pulled into a bizarre selection process. Contestants must pass dangerous rest stops along a highway within the allotted time and reach the end of the road.

There's a strange shopping mall where you'll meet different versions of "yourself"; a flower shop with a conscience, where you'll encounter some "troublesome" plants; and a restaurant that makes you feel "right at home"...

[Instance Three: Rabbit Kingdom]

An elevator in a rundown apartment building takes nine people to a strange manor. Its residents all have rabbit heads. If they can't find a way out, will they become one of them?

[Instance Four: School in Another World]

Are you tired of school and longing for an interesting life?

One day, the students receive a questionnaire asking this. After the approval rate exceeds 90%, the entire student body transmigrates to another world.

Please follow these school rules: The incompetent are guilty. Cheaters are guilty. Those who go to the upper floors without permission are guilty. Those who take what isn't theirs are guilty. Those who enter the place where the fog rises are guilty. Those who fail to arrive on time are guilty...

[Instance Five: Finding Morpheus]

Congratulations! You have stood out among the many contestants and been admitted to this school. Please report promptly.

Jiang Mian must find the right way through the fog to reach Morpheus Academy. The locals all seem to be deliberately avoiding her. The few who are willing to point her in the right direction don't seem to be giving her the correct directions, either.

She has been following the direction the woman pointed out for a long time. She has no idea where this road leads, but the farther she goes, the more she feels something is wrong. Then another "Jiang Mian" passes her, staring back in shock just as she does.

Reader's guide:

0. Since the story is set in dreams, some scenes are a little frenzied and chaotic.

1. My writing is average. Feel free to point out any issues you find while reading, and Didiwei will make changes as appropriate.

2. The dream instances are interwoven with the main plot, which takes up a fair share of the story. This isn't a pure instance-based story.

3. The male lead hasn't been decided yet. Feel free to pick your favorite. (Includes a love triangle.)
