Double Substitute

Gu Ruohe originally had just one small goal: to become a big star.

Yuan Dongsheng was simply minding his own business as the overbearing CEO of an entertainment company.

But, well...

One night, when Gu Ruohe was feeling low and thinking of killing herself, she happened to throw herself in front of Yuan Dongsheng's car.

The domineering CEO didn't yell at her or hit her. Instead, he turned into a doting mom.

He not only took care of her all night, but also talked with her about poetry and philosophy.

Gu Ruohe couldn't say whether she'd started falling for President Yuan that very night.

But when they met again, she wanted to be a big star and, secretly, to win this man over.

A mature, steady, cultured CEO x a clever, pretty, lively actress. An age gap of 10+ years, with mutual pining.

A retro entertainment-industry story about climbing the ranks and overcoming challenges. The setting is entirely made up, so please treat this as an alternate-universe story.

Theme: Love and loyalty are worth their weight in gold.
