The Villainess Academy [Seeking Support for My Next Novel]

[I'll start writing when this reaches 1,000 bookmarks! Thanks for helping!]

No one knows what these top students at the academy are competing for, or why they can't get along.

The gene pool has gone haywire, and children conceived through genetic cultivation have ended up scattered across the world.

To prevent war from breaking out and to educate these children in a targeted way, the academy regularly captures runaway children and brings them back for further education.

An Yu was captured while fighting someone over the last piece of fruit.

The school has luxurious dorms and three balanced meals a day. As all her peers who pass the genetic tests and are deemed normal are sent away, An Yu starts pretending to be an ability user so she won't have to return to life as a runaway.

To find someone powerful to protect her, An Yu can only focus on the people with the biggest reputations right now.

One is Shen Fuling, the aloof student council president. She comes from a privileged family, and both her mothers are geneticists. But whenever An Yu interacts with her, she can feel Shen Fuling's contempt.

One is S, an orphan like An Yu and a key student at the school. But S can't control her ability, and getting close to her is extremely dangerous. To be precise, An Yu might get beaten up badly!

One is Bai Zhi, the school doctor's daughter. The school doctor controls the records of so many children, so wouldn't getting on Bai Zhi's good side let An Yu do whatever she wants at school? But why does Bai Zhi always use a feather quill to brush her nose, then her chin? An Yu didn't come here to be anyone's dog!

One is Lin Zhile, a young reporter for the academy newspaper. She's always around whenever something big happens at school, but after years of hard work, she still has a record of zero front-page stories published. Every day, An Yu hears her shout, "Work hard! Educate! Reform!" Eventually, she decides to give up on the silly girl.

An Yu tries to find plenty of people to rely on, but every attempt fails miserably.

Since none of them works on their own, she may as well try all of them. So An Yu keeps going back and forth between this group, until she successfully gets herself in way over her head.

When someone's ability goes out of control, An Yu becomes the perfect soothing tool. But sometimes more than one person loses control, so An Yu's room fills up with one person, two people, three people...

Aren't they supposed to receive a good education, then go out into the world together to capture runaway children?

Why are they fighting in her room first?

-

Mutations are uncontrollable, chaos is rampant, and education can't keep up with the rate of spontaneous reproduction. The king decides to form a capture squad to directly eliminate ability users.

An Yu has a rare calming ability, so she becomes the squad leader, guiding her teammates, all brimming with potential, as they charge forward to maintain order in the world.

After serving for a long time, An Yu discovers a frail, sickly woman in a valley during one of their missions.

She is naked, with black hair and skin as pale as snow, and her entire body radiates a sickly beauty.

The order to eliminate her arrives right on time. An Yu takes the blow head-on.

After returning, An Yu reports to the king that the target has been eliminated, but secretly hides the woman away.

She can't clearly remember how she saved her at the time. It was as if she had suddenly been taken over.

And she feels like she has seen this woman somewhere before.

*All-female world, lots of original worldbuilding, occasional author notes with setting details

*Bottom-centered, not a multiple-choice romance, balanced plot and romance, ensemble cast

*Futuristic alternate setting, abilities awaken because of genetic mutations

*There are more central characters than those in this blurb. I just couldn't fit them all

Theme: Strive for a beautiful life.
