[Cool, aloof actress vs. cocky, handsome actor]
In a nutshell: The male lead thinks the female lead likes him and starts imagining things, only to discover that she actually likes a character he played.
Song Ci has been on the big screen since childhood. She's beautiful, talented, and low-key. Though she has never become a huge star, audiences love her.
Qi Li is one of the entertainment industry's biggest stars. His face is unbelievably handsome, and he gained a huge following as soon as he debuted. But his acting is inconsistent, so he's long been the subject of controversy.
When Song Ci was 19, she made a film with Qi Li. It was shelved for four years before its release. The creative team had long since given up hope and barely bothered to promote it, but the film unexpectedly received widespread praise.
Song Ci is forced to team up with Qi Li again, though no one knows how reluctant she is.
Because she has fallen for the character Qi Li played, someone who doesn't exist in real life.
A little scene
"Do you like me?" Qi Li presses her at every turn.
Song Ci remains calm. "No. You're imagining things."
Later, when Qi Li learns that Song Ci is in love not with him but with the character he played, he doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Has she mistaken him for a stand-in?
And not just any stand-in, but one for a fictional character?

"Sis, I'm the only one who's ever seen you make that face."
Notes:
1. An entertainment-industry story, with no real-life inspirations.
2. An older woman-younger man romance. The female lead is two years older than the male lead.
3. Single-couple romance, happy ending.
Theme: Take your acting seriously.
