Jing Xing loved martial arts from a young age. As an adult, he used his skills to open a boxing gym. But while saving someone, he unexpectedly traveled to an ancient world of men who could bear children, becoming a young ruffian.
The original owner lost his father as a child. To support the family, his mother became a huntress, and the villagers all called her "tigress" and "madwoman." She raised her son to be timid and fearful, yet he still went looking for trouble. Now, at seventeen, whenever he got into a mess, he ran to his mother for help.
Then one day, the huntress realized her son had changed. Not only did he share the burden of supporting their household, but he also understood her.
The villagers noticed that the huntress's family had changed, too: their broken thatched hut became a wooden house, and then the wooden house became a grand home of gray bricks and tiled roofs.
Every family with a daughter or a young man eligible for marriage sent a matchmaker to the huntress's home, but she rejected them all. The villagers couldn't help wondering: had that young man Min set his sights on someone?
Some people, jealous that they couldn't have what they wanted, either spoke ill of Min or claimed that some vixen had bewitched him. Rumors spread through the whole village.
But no one could have imagined that the person who had Min so thoroughly smitten was the shy, well-behaved young man from the Ji family!
And they were even more surprised when the Min family opened a martial arts school in the county and bought land to build a mansion. Best of all, they rented it out to anyone who wanted a place, at prices lower than the inns!
Still, the villagers were thinking too small. They had no idea that the Min family could live comfortably just by collecting rent, earning enough to make their hands cramp from counting all their money. They could never imagine how much fun it was to be a landlady.
PS: An ancient fantasy, 1v1 sweet romance set in a world of men who can bear children. There will be a baby later on. The scum gong gets replaced.
Height difference, build difference, skin-tone difference.
Scheming gong VS well-behaved, shy shou.
A mountain of author-created settings. Please don't overanalyze or compare it to real life!
A cozy, slice-of-life story. The protagonists are both ordinary, imperfect people!
Entertainment Industry novel, From Ancient Times to the Present: Where Are You, My Wife?
Gu Haokuo woke up in another world and discovered his wife was missing. He had become a scandal-ridden, C-list celebrity. Just as he was grieving over losing his wife and posted on Weibo to ask for help finding her, his agent showed up.
Gu Haokuo didn't want to be a celebrity. He just wanted to find his wife.
But his middle-aged agent hit him with three questions in a row: Do you have money? A car? A house? He had none of those, and still wanted to find a wife?
So Gu Haokuo, penniless and starting from scratch, searched for his wife while working hard to earn money to support her.
Meanwhile, his appearance online stirred up a storm of controversy. People cursed out the shameless C-list celebrity for clinging to an A-list actor, leeching off him and chasing clout.
Now, just to grab people's attention, he'd even made up a wife. It was utterly shameless and ridiculous. Fans demanded that he get out of the entertainment industry.
But then the variety show Down the Slide went and invited Gu Haokuo anyway. The fans took their abuse from Weibo to the show.
Until they saw a broad-shouldered, testosterone-fueled runway model appear on screen. The official introduction revealed that this impossibly handsome man was Gu Haokuo, the C-list star they'd been insulting?
The celebrities: "!!!"
The fans: "!!!"
The passersby: "!!!"
What were they supposed to do? Looking at that handsome face, they suddenly couldn't bring themselves to insult him.
Later, though, everyone realized he was simply a merciless wage slave. When the show's crew asked why he had joined, the other celebrities praised the show and its staff, but his answer was simply: "They offered a lot of money."
After that, fans realized he'd take any job as long as it paid, whether it was a major event, a small variety show, or a low-budget web drama.
People online nicknamed him "the wage slave." Then, one day, someone caught a glimpse of his secret account during a variety show, and people tracked it down.
Every post was about what he was going to buy his wife with the money he'd earned.
This wasn't a wage slave at all. He was a total wife-devoted man!
Everyone was curious about who his wife was. The fans had only just accepted, after their idol's image was shattered, that he had a wife when, during a variety show, an impossibly cool and sexy hunk hurriedly took off his sunglasses, ran up to a pretty young man, and hugged him, shouting, "Wife, I finally found you!"
The pretty young man: "..."
Everyone: "..."
The fans: "..."
One fan who had just confessed to Gu Haokuo that she liked him tremblingly took out her phone, tremblingly called the police, and tremblingly reported that her idol was sexually harassing someone in public.
That night, the hashtag #GuHaokuoHarassesPasserbyFanCallsPolice trended on Weibo. Gu Haokuo's fans all liked the post, agreeing that the fan had done the right thing. They didn't need an idol who embarrassed them like this.
Theme: Every day is a beautiful day
