I read The Grave Robbers' Chronicles in 2013 and 2014. I never imagined that, almost ten years later, I'd start writing fanfiction.
Just bear with it. It's a revival of fandom, like the Full-Time Mage next door.
It's brought back memories for me now. Back then, my dad stayed home every day playing on the computer, so I found him something to do and gave him a book to read. He smiled and said, "I read that ages ago."
But he still took it and read it, folding down the pages he'd already finished to get to the next one. By the time he'd finished the book, it was all bent out of shape. It made my heart ache to see it. I never treat my own books that way.
This may be one of the few memories we share. My dad may well have read Ghost Blows Out the Light too. He knows that guy Hu Bayi, though I haven't read Ghost Blows Out the Light yet. I'll catch up later!
As for why I'm writing fanfiction, the answer is...
I have a hundred years to live, and I want to vote for every man I like, not just once, but over and over.
The female lead is around 85 on the app, a breathtaking beauty, but she probably won't get much mention.
They make money on the side in their daily lives, though that probably won't get much mention either.
The earthy men come from Uncle Two's description of Wu Xie and the others smelling like damp earth after going underground.
Theme: Live well, no matter where you are
