On a summer night, Xi Wujiu met Fan Xiang for the first time. She was sleepwalking.
He played the hero, chased off the drunken thugs who were trying to harass her, and escorted her home.
Before saying goodbye, he asked with a roguish smile, “Hey... I walked you home. Don’t I get a reward?”
As he spoke, his gaze drifted to her heart-shaped lips...
But the next day, he discovered that she was completely different when awake than when sleepwalking.
The summer heat was scorching, yet she was icy cold.
Hey, hey, there’s no need to be so wary, is there? Do I look like a bad guy? You didn’t mind at all when I carried you around earlier!
For the first time, the proud young man from a wealthy family felt defeated. With no other choice, he put on an elaborate act, and finally managed to get close to her.
Later, fate brought them to the same university. He tried everything he could, but his hopes of becoming her boyfriend kept falling through.
Until one day...
“Xiangxiang, be my girlfriend!!! If you won’t say yes, I’ll jump off the bridge!”
“Then jump.”
Huh? Why isn’t she following the script?
Of course, in the end, the lovers got together, and their older brother and older sister also found their way to each other, just as fate had decreed.
But there was still one person, a “teacher” they regretted ever meeting, who watched coldly from the sidelines with a secret he couldn’t reveal.
He said, “I sleepwalk, too.”
He said, “Don’t you think those two deserve to die?”
Yet at the very end, the man named Ruan Yucheng finally revealed his hidden feelings to their friend.
He said, “Then goodbye, Meng Keke, my dearest little friend.”
By then, the ending had long been decided.
